RLS announces that it now offers its customers secure on-line access to their inventory products in RLS warehouses. "Providing on-line access for our customers offers them complete real-time visibility of what we are showing in inventory," said Jim Green, Director of Operations. "As we are scanning product in and out of inventory, it is updated automatically to the on-line access software on our website."
On-line access to inventory is essential in today's fast paced business environment. "Our customers need to quickly see if they have enough inventory in stock to fulfill orders and keep their customers happy," said Green. "With our 24/7 on-line access, they can see how many of each SKU they have in stock, how many are on order, etc. They can change their production schedule around if they determine there is not sufficient stock. It also allows them to plan their production needs around their inventory levels." The on-line access features also allow customers to view the status of their inbound receipts and outbound orders. In addition, they can print inventory reports at any time.
Using the on-line access feature couldn't be easier. "All customers have to do is to visit the RLS website, click on "My Account" and enter their password," said Green. "Passwords will be assigned to all of our customers."
New Facility Expands our Packaging Operations
RLS announces
that it has added a new 15,000-sq. ft. packaging facility to its Malaga, NJ campus. "We made
this move because the packaging side of our business is growing and this new larger facility enables
us to better meet our customers' needs," said Robert Curcio, President, Packaging. The new
facility houses all of RLS' packaging operations. "Here we do all our repacking, order fulfillment,
kitting and assembly, shrink wrapping, and bundling operations," said Curcio. "It allows
us to provide one-stop shopping for customers looking for customized packaging services in the
frozen and refrigerated foods business."
